Thousand Foot Krutch
I love this band. I listen to them daily. Even though we are looking at another camera, we all look like we're alert for it being a fan signing and it's 11:30 p.m. on a Friday.

Proverbs 26

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=proverbs%2026&version=NLT

Pick one of the proverbs from this chapter and answer the following questions:

How does this relate to my life?

How can we use this in our life? How does it relate?

What promises are hidden within the verse?

What commands are in this verse?

Why did I pick this verse?

What is a word or phrase that sticks out the most? Meditate on them.

Here's an example:

24 People may cover their hatred with pleasant words,
      but they’re deceiving you.
25 They pretend to be kind, but don’t believe them.
Their hearts are full of many evils.[b]
26 While their hatred may be concealed by trickery,
their wrongdoing will be exposed in public.

How does this relate to my life?

In our lives many people will hate us (Jesus says so) but they will pretend not to. This is a painful we are better off being aware of before something bad comes of it, so we can possibly make amends.

How can we use this in our life? How does it relate?

Some people are deceptive. We shouldn't believe someone just because they seem to be kind to us, especially if it's carefully shrouded cruelty. Listen to what is being said - some of it is grounded in truth.

What promises are hidden within the verse?

Their wrongdoing will be exposed in public. It will not last, someday they will pay for it.

What commands are in this verse?

We should be on the lookout for deceivers and people who pretend to be kind but are not. Living under a rock is not going to save us.

What is a word or phrase that sticks out the most?

I picked a longer verse. Two stick out to me: "their wrongdoing" and "hearts are full of many evils." The heart is deceptive above all things. It is their fault for not dealing with the issues, not mine. I must keep my heart as pure as possible.

Praying you have faith, hope, and love always,

Rachel
